The theme of the November meeting will be a trip to the sea — literally and figuratively. The sea, and especially the coasts and river deltas, have a special place in the history of jazz. It was in these areas that jazz developed the most. We can mention here, for example, New Orleans or both coasts, eastern and western North America — or, in Europe, one of the most important jazz centers in the world — Copenhagen. As it happens, Szczecin is in a similar situation. It is true that with this sea and its proximity we know how it is, but you just have to go to the nearby Greifswald and things take on a slightly different meaning. And in this way we smoothly move on to the program of the November concert, whose guests will be musicians who live and create on a daily basis precisely in the aforementioned German city:
— Niklas Bladt (piano)
— Martin Winhart (drums)
— Stephan Busse (double bass)
During the concert, in addition to music inspired by seaside meetings and meeting musical guests, we will also introduce you to the story that has permanently influenced the development of the contemporary exchange of jazz musicians in Europe, which began precisely in the Polish-German-Danish exchange of musicians nearly 20 years ago.
