About the event

05.11.2026 Thursday 17:00
5 November (Thursday) at 17:00 we invite you to the Enter Gallery for the opening of the exhibition — free admission.
The exhibition is open until 27 November from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and during the events — free admission. On 11 November the exhibition is closed.
The works are embedded in an aesthetic of anxiety, drawing on a wealth of diverse motifs — from classical figurative compositions to melancholic, austere landscapes. The key point of reference remains the inspirations of classical painting, which becomes the framework for the contemporary story. In these ambiguous spaces, social threads unfold, among others, stigmatizing concrete crises, deformations and phenomena of the modern world. At the center of this dark microcosm is always the man — his moral condition, his confusion and his identity. It was this harsh, tense climate and multilayered references that defined the title of the entire cycle: “Schwarzplan”.
Playing with the recipient is not just a formal procedure, but an invitation to an intimate dialogue. The images deliberately do not give ready-made answers; they operate with understatement, hidden symbolism and quotes from classics that the viewer can decipher on his own.
The presented images become a painterly echo of the reality around us. However, this dense, melancholic climate is not the final verdict — in the structure of the created universe there should always be a promise of light and a reminder that there is always a way out of every, even the deepest darkness.
Marcin Kravczuk (1968, Krakow) graduated in 1994 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the landscape painting studio of Prof. František Hodonski. During his studies at the Prague Academy, he also participated in classes conducted in the studios of Prof. Zdenek Beran and Prof. Bedřich Dlouhy, who are among the esteemed Czech artists of the 20th century. Participation in classes conducted by the aforementioned group of artists undoubtedly expanded his knowledge and horizons of interests, which is reflected in the work of the author of the paintings.
It is often inspired and alluded to less popular, sometimes somewhat forgotten works of art, but also to advertising graphics, film, etc. and their relationship in the context of the modern world (art feeds on art).
