In the concert series “Wider das Vergessen”, the orchestra presents former employees of its own opera house who were dismissed by the National Socialists in 1933. Some of the more than 40 people have been able to brilliantly continue their careers abroad. Others have emigrated, even though their artistic careers have suffered as a result or have ended completely. Many have lost friends and relatives, and some were deported and murdered themselves. After extensive research by orchestral director and solo timpanist Benedikt Leithner, Margarita Broich will read between musical contributions from personal documents by Else Hallauer-Wühler (soprano), Gerhard Pechner (baritone) and Wilhelm Gombert (tenor). *** The carpentry concerts are the chamber music heart of carpentry.
