What do the Lantern Festival, a Korean DJ turned internet phenomenon, have in common with the tea ceremony? Surprisingly, the answer will be Buddhism. Present on the Korean Peninsula for almost two millennia, it is undergoing a transformation tailored to the needs of the busy, stress-filled 21st century. During the lecture, we will learn about the history of Buddhism in Korea, we will get acquainted with the phenomenon of Templestay — relaxation and meditation stays in Buddhist temples, and we will answer the question, what is the place of a person from the broadly understood West - can he be only an observer or a guest of Buddhist culture? In addition, for travelers interested in staying in the temple, the host will also prepare a list of recommended (from experience) temples.
