12. KLESZCZEWSKIE ZADUSZKI WITH CULTURE, exhibition of icons by Ewa Latanowicz-Tyrzyk

The Municipal Centre for Culture and Sport in Kleszczewo cordially invites you to the opening of the exhibition of icons by Ewa Latanowicz-Tyrzyk, organized as part of the 12th Kleszczewski Zaduszki z Kultura.

This time we invite you to the world of icons, an extraordinary field of art where tradition, symbolism and spirituality meet. They are images that tell not only with colors and forms, but also through hidden meanings, prompting to stop and reflect.

Ewa Latanowicz-Tyrzyk's journey to writing icons began during classes at the Drawing and Painting Studio at the Zamek Cultural Center in Poznań. It was there that the artist came into contact with this unique form of creativity, which quickly became her true passion.

Since then, he has consistently developed his skills. Under the direction of Dr. Aleksandra Michalska in the Iconographic Studio “Serafina” she has already written about 50 icons. Each of them is the fruit of a work that requires concentration, patience and precision, and at the same time an encounter with the centuries-old tradition of sacred art.

The presented works are made in the technique of egg tempera on a board, according to the Byzantine canon. This traditional method gives icons their characteristic expression, and faithful observance of the canon allows to preserve the symbolic and spiritual dimension of the representations.

The opening will be an opportunity to get to know more about the artist's work, take a close look at the craftsmanship of icon making and discover their unique language, full of meaning, focus and beauty.

We invite you to meet art that combines tradition with personal passion, and makes painting a space for spiritual reflection.
