13.11./ Yanistan — Tribute to Leonard Cohen — concert

13.11.2026 Friday 19:00
Tribute to Leonard Cohen is a phenomenal journey through the greatest works of this outstanding Canadian artist, arranged with immense sense and respect for the original. The artists have prepared a program that delights not only with beautiful guitar arrangements or the delicate sound of the piano, but also with moody backing vocals, giving Cohen's songs a classic, original depth.
During the concert, the artists will also share anecdotes about the legendary bard and unknown facts and stories about this outstanding singing poet.
We will hear the most beautiful songs in Polish, including “Alleluja”, “Dance Me to the End of Love”, “In my secret life”, “I'm Your Man”. In addition, they are the only ones in the country to perform the song “The Future” in Polish.
The event delights audiences across the country, cementing the position of the artists that make up the Yanistan group, as some of the best interpreters of Leonard Cohen songs in the country.
During the concert there will be performances by the musicians of the band Yanistan — renowned singers, which includes: Janusz Kasprowicz — leader of the Projekt Volodia group, who has had hundreds of concerts on the biggest stages in the country, the release of eight albums and cooperation with many renowned artists, including outstanding actors Mirosław Baka or Stanisław Górka. Cultural animator, originator and director of the Włodzimierz Wysocki festivals “Wołodia pod Szczelińcem”, the Wrocław Festival “Unsubmissive Singers”, “Lviv Days in Wrocław” and the artistic director of concerts, including the cyclical “Night of the Bards” during the Festival of Three Cultures in Włodawa.
Stanisław Marinczenko — “multidimensional” musician, multi-instrumentalist (including guitars, piano, accordion, mandolin, harp), actively involved in many musical genres, besides literary song you can hear his sounds in Irish atmospheres.
The duo is accompanied by excellent musician Bogdan Bińczak, who comes from traditional jazz circles and finds himself in many musical genres. He supports musicians by playing instruments on percussion, melody and in choirs and multi-voice vocal parts.
