The multi-sensory concert “In the footsteps of the goddesses” is a musical-verbal journey through the ancient histories and cultures of different corners of the world. The starting point is the musical series “Boginie” by Agnieszka KOVY Kowalczyk — more than 20 original compositions for cello and loop station, inspired by unusual female characters present in the mythologies and traditions of many cultures. The artist reaches out to Greek, Roman, Slavic, Norse, Celtic mythology, as well as Egyptian, Hindu and Maori traditions. Each of the heroines of individual works carries its own story, temperament and energy.
During the concert, music intertwines with stories, allowing us to look at old characters not only through the prism of myths, but also through the contemporary sensibility of the artist. Complete with visual projections, candlelight and subtle scent elements, creating a multi-sensory experience where sound, image, light and smell come together in one story.
Agnieszka KOVA Kowalczyk — cello, loops, electronics
Agnieszka KOVA Kowalczyk is a classically educated cellist who has toured and recorded with many artists from classical, jazz, rock, pop music, as well as electronic and experimental music creators. The artist had the opportunity to perform in more than 90 countries around the world both as a soloist and collaborating with such artists as Ray Wilson, Nicole Mitchell, Dee Alexander, Lisa-Marie Holmes, Stan Breckenridge, Kayah, Sylwia Grzeszczak, Zbigniew Wodecki, Felicjan Andrzejczak. The artist co-creates a number of ensembles and musical projects, as well as composes and records her own music. In 2024, she released an original album entitled “Goddesses — Goddesses — Goddesses”, and in 2026 an album entitled “Earth Echoes”.

Tickets are available on the website: www.billomat.pl and at the Tourist Information Center (Plac Żołnierza Polskiego 20, glass pavilion vis-a-vis the “13 Muz” Cultural Center), which is open all week from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00.
It is not possible to purchase a ticket on site prior to the event.
