145 years of the Karol Namysłowski Symphony Orchestra in Zamość

We invite you to a unique Jubilee Gala, where music, history and memories come together in one solemn evening. “The Jubilee Gala of the 145th Anniversary of the Karol Namysłowski Symphony Orchestra” is a celebration of the ensemble, which has been co-creating the musical identity of Zamość for more than one hundred and forty years.

The evening will begin with a special multimedia presentation, which is a journey through the history of the orchestra. Archival photographs, documents and memories recall the most important moments in the history of the band, the figure of its patron and the people who helped the orchestra survive and develop over the following decades.

The central point of the program will be a symphonic concert of commemorative and historical character. The repertoire will feature compositions by artists particularly associated with the orchestra's tradition and Zamość musical life: Karol Namysłowski, patron of the ensemble, Stanisław Namysłowski, Mieczysław Pawelec, Józef Przytula and Tadeusz Wicherek. It is music that has accompanied the orchestra for years and is an important part of its identity, and in the jubilee setting it will acquire a particularly solemn dimension.

A special moment of the evening will be the ceremony of awarding statuettes and thanks. Musicians, collaborators, partners and friends who have supported the orchestra over the years and helped it reach the next generations of listeners will be honored.

The Jubilee Gala is an evening where history meets the present and music becomes a shared memory and thanks. On this special day you will be accompanied by the Karol Namysłowski Symphony Orchestra in Zamość under the baton of Tadeusz Wicherek and Szymon Makowski.
