Adam Bielecki: No trace
October 25, 2026, 8:00 PM
Cinema Forum, Legionowa 5
ticket: 25 zł
The mountains are changing. He, too. Adam Bielecki, one of the most outstanding contemporary Himalayists, returns with a new lecture promoting his second book — “Without a trace”!
The lecture, which is a multimedia show of photos and videos at the same time, is a personal and uncompromising story about how from an eight-thousand-year-old conqueror a climber is born, for whom style becomes an obsession. Climber looking for new challenges — original, technically difficult, often on pristine walls, implemented in small teams and with a minimum amount of equipment. It is a story full of passion, adrenaline and adventure.
After the lecture, you will be able to buy the book “Without a trace” and get an autograph of the Himalayan.
Adam Bielecki, born in 1983, is a Himalayan mountaineer, mountaineer, mountaineer and traveler. Member of the High Mountain Club Kraków and the national team in high mountain climbing. In autumn 2011 he conquered the fifth world summit, Makalu (8463 m above sea level). On March 9, 2012, together with Janusz Gołąb, he made the first winter ascent to Gasherbrum I (8068 m above sea level), which was honored with the Colossus and the National Geographic Traveler Award, and was also recognized as the greatest achievement in the field of exploration in 2012 by the prestigious portal American ExplorersWeb. Winner of K2 (July 31, 2012) and Broad Peak — first winter entry (March 5, 2013). In the spring of 2014, he took part in a successful expedition to the northern wall of Kanchendzongi led by Denis Urubko. As part of the “Annapurna Polsped Expedition 2017” expedition, together with Felix Berg and Rick Allen, he captured the seven-thousandth Tilicho Peak in light style, and also undertook an advanced attempt to mark a new road on the pristine northern wall of Annapurna (8091 m above sea level).
He was a participant in the winter national expedition on K2, as well as the hero of the high-profile rescue operation on Nanga Parbat, thanks to which it was possible to save the life of the French himalayist Elizabeth Revol. On July 16, 2018, together with Felix Berg, he laid out a new variant of the road on the western wall of Gasherbruma II (8035 m above sea level). He was awarded, among others, the Order of Polish Revival and the National Order of the Legion of Honour. He is also an Honorary Citizen of the City of Tychy. He never used extra oxygen from the cylinders during his climbs. In 2017, his first book “From under the frozen eyelids” was published.
