In the presentation I will tell you about my solitary, six-month trip around the world through 12 countries, 4 continents and 80 thousand km. It was a backpacking trip, low budget and full of extraordinary encounters... It was also an inner journey towards freedom and trust, it allowed me to change some stereotypes... I went there a year before my 60th birthday to see that despite appearances, the world can still be hospitable, safe and beautiful, and many of the places I was warned about turned out to be a positive surprise by the way. I also talk about the expedition in the book: “Solo Around the World”.

Katarzyna Kozłowska — traveler, author of the book “Solo around the World”, which is a record of a six-month expedition around the globe through 12 countries and 4 continents, which ended in the spring of 2024. As the traveler says: “It was not only a beautiful adventure, but also a gaze-changing experience of many places that have the reputation of being dangerous for the blonde traveling alone. I visited the US and the national parks of Utah, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador with the Galapagos Islands. I lived in the jungle with the Indians and took care of a lost horse in the Andes. I dived in French Polynesia, then in Australia, in Bali... I went all over Vietnam, Cambodia, the north of Thailand and the south of India. I would love to tell you about a world that is better and more hospitable than we often think.”
