18 poetry slam in the Cellar of Kana | 21.10.26, 18.00

We are starting the fourth season of slamming in the Cellar of Kana in Szczecin! Hooray! The first tournament this season will take place on October 21. Book a date in the calendars, we start with registrations!

The tournament will be led by Magdalena Walusiak, a native of Szczecin, who has been living a vagabond life since she received her ID card, which is a terrible long time ago.

RULES OF SLUM IN THE CELLAR OF THE CAN

1. Poetic Slam is a tournament in which the only jury is the audience that evaluates both the quality of the poetic texts and their presentation, and each person participating must complete their text within the allotted time.

2. Only adults can participate in the slams.

3. A maximum of 20 people can participate in each tournament.

4. During the Slam, you can present any number of poetic texts of your authorship. The key is to fit in the allotted time.

5. Props, costumes or musical instruments must not be used during the slam. It is permissible to use media presented on the stage of texts.

6. The time for the presentation of poems at each stage of the Slam in the Cellar of Kana is a maximum of 3 minutes.

7. The order of performances is decided at each stage by a draw.
8. The only judges during the Slam are the people in the audience, who vote by raising their hands after each performance at the elimination stage and after the performances of the semifinal and final pairs.

9. In the event of a tie at any stage, there will be 1 minute extra time.

10. In case of any doubt, the final decision on the course of the slam will be the responsibility of the driver.

11. Information about the prizes will be posted in the event descriptions on Facebook.

12. Applications for each of the slams can be sent until midnight on the eve of the slam to the e-mail address wodnica@wp.pl or add to the list of participants before the event or even before the end of the presentation of all participants, if there are free places.

13. The organizers of the Slams in the Cellar of Kana are the informal literary group “Pozy” and Piwnica Kana.

14. Each participant is obliged to give consent to the processing of personal data in order to participate in the event, even if he uses a pseudonym during the presentation. Consent to participate in the Slam means consent to the use of the name under which you will perform in the information about the results of the tournament.

15. Participation in the slams organized by the informal poetic group “Positives”, which are documented in photo and sometimes film form, implies consent to the publication of audiovisual materials with your image on social media.

16. The media and substantive patron of slams in the Cellar of Kana is the Slam Foundation.
