“Ujście” is a portrait of swimmer Leszek Naziemec and a group of his friends who are drawn to swim in water at any temperature. The camera follows the fate of the Naziemec and other members of the Silesia Winter Swimming sports club, who practice a rather specific form of swimming - the water cannot be warmer than 5 degrees Celsius. A story of adventure and a strange passion that pushes into the water when the body with all its senses says NO. “The Estuary” is at the same time a universal tale, a visual-poetic essay about crossing the limits of human endurance. A story of pain, suffering and failure, but also, perseverance, determination and struggle with oneself, perhaps most of all about man's relationship with nature.
