Jiří Kylián has had a lasting impact on 20th century ballet. In Gods and Dogs, Kylián bridges the gap between the divine and the instinctive, between order and madness in a radically dense way. The piece explores the fine line at which “normal” behavior tilts into the supposedly “peculiar”, and thus makes the dark in everyday life visible. The choreography shows the individual wrestling with unleashed energy, the merging of human and instinct, the opening of a gaping gap between what we are and what we do not dare to be. The work thus becomes a radical, poetic search for the irrational moment that makes us human in the first place.

Sharon Eyal is one of the most distinctive choreographic voices in contemporary dance. With 2 Chapters Love, she once again creates an incomparable experience. Precision, repetition and concentration in choreography push dancers to their limits and beyond. Clear lines of electronic beats transform every movement into a hypnotic pull in which classic technology meets club aesthetics. Love, pain, desire and loneliness are felt physically and intensely. 2 Chapters Love draws ensemble and audience into a collective frenzy that lingers on for a long time.
