20 years of The Incredible men's table setting

+++ Anniversary concert: 20 years of The Incredible Herrengedeck +++

+++ New EP: “The Incredible HerrenGerAP” +++

For 20 years now, The Incredible Herrengedeck has been singing about the apocalypse, capitalism, the fear of punk and Berlin again and again.

Daniel Thylmann, Robert Rating and Tapani Gradmann have known each other since school days. What once began as a bar band in Neukölln has actually always remained a bar band over the years. The fact that some of their songs (“FDP”, “Berlin stinkt”, “Minimal Consensus Bier”, “Fear of Punk”) have nevertheless become downright underground gassenhauls is probably due to the fact that the three were on the big stages a little, but all the more so at demos, street parties and solo parties. Humor and attitude were and are two of the main ingredients for her chanson punk. And according to the motto “Resistance can also be fun”, it was part of the band's self-image from the start to also get involved politically with their music.

Musically speaking, men's tableware is less clear. From swing to reggae, hits, rap and heavy metal to punk, they use everything that runs in front of them. Their original line-up of acoustic guitar, piano and double bass is supplemented by friendly musicians as required. For example by Nico Rotter (Perm Hydrogen, Brutally Drunk), Benedikt Gramm (Eight Buckets of Chicken Hearts), Zora Schock (Die Tsootsies). Donkey's nightmare or Paul Geigerzähler. Marius Kuhn currently plays drums with them.

After several albums, various side projects, dance, theatre and show attempts as well as over 400 performances — including some as tour support for the terrorist group — you can also pause briefly and take stock. Or release a new EP called “The Incredible HerrenGerAP”. Or play a brilliant concert at the ufaFabrik together with fantastic guests and a very good one-man opening act... Or all together!

Felix Römer about The Incredible men's table setting:

“They always say: If you can do it in Berlin, you can do it anywhere. But the boys only make it in Berlin! ”
