20 years without Marek Grechuta — memorial concert “Save from oblivion” performed by ARETE

On the 20th anniversary of Marek Grechuta's death, we invite you to a unique, reflective concert entitled “Save from Oblivion”, which will take place on October 23, 2026 at 19:00 at the Summer Theater in Ciechocinek.

This special meeting with the work of one of the most outstanding artists of the Polish scene will be an opportunity to listen anew to his timeless lyrics and melodies. On the symbolic day of the anniversary, there will be songs that have moved successive generations of listeners for years — full of poetry, sensitivity and deep emotions.

ARETE will perform on stage — a band with a poetic character, which has been successfully presenting Grechuta's work throughout Poland for years. The artists have prepared a special program dedicated to this anniversary, which includes both the biggest hits and lesser-known, extremely moving pieces. The concert will be enriched with stories and anecdotes from the artist's life, creating an atmospheric and personal story about his work.

During the evening we will hear, among others: “You will be my Lady”, “Do not prove”, “Days we do not know”, “Our world”, “Parade”, as well as “Leave us” and “Live this hope”.

The ARETE team will present their own arrangements, paying homage to the original while giving the pieces a fresh, contemporary sound. There will also be several own compositions inspired by Grechuta's work.
