A fictional story that takes viewers on a journey to the near future. Text awarded the “Aurora 2024” award for the courage and strength of the literary form. On stage, among others, Dominika Ostałowska — in the role of an activist, she becomes the conscience of the show, reflecting our fears and fears about this controversial vision of Europe.

VIOLENT SCENES, RAPE SCENES, VULGAR LANGUAGE, CIGARETTES, STAGE SMOKE, FLICKERING TELEVISION SCREEN

2049: Hello Abdo is a dystopian tale about the future — which seems increasingly likely and about the past — that we are still trying to disprove. The author draws from documents found on the Polish-Belarusian border, but does not reproduce the events, but rather asks questions about what emerges from this “evidence”. It builds a literary fiction that shows where further ignoring responsibility for systemic violence, boundaries and exclusion can take us.

The plot of the play is an idea of how the narrative can unfold, loosely based on traces of the presence of migrants, which the author of the text Mikita Iłinczyk found at the Polish-Belarusian border. A narrative that will not be a document, but will gain momentum with the language of politics and law.
