Considered one of the most talented and promising pianists of his generation in Poland, Szymon Nehring is the only Polish to win the first prize at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Tel Aviv (2017). At the age of only 19 he was also a finalist of the Chopin Competition in Warsaw. Szymon performs with such orchestras as: Sinfonia Varsovia, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, NFM Wroclaw Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Bamberger Symphoniker, Hamburger Symphoniker, Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille and Orchestre Pasdeloup in France and Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, collaborating with conductors such as: John Axelrod, Lukas Borowicz, Sylvain Cambreling, Karina Canellakis, Pablo Heras-Casado, Marzena Diakun, Lawrence Foster, Giancarlo Guerrero, Jacek Kaspszyk, Grzegorz Nowak, Pawel Przytocki, George Tchitchinadze, David Zinman and Omer Meir Wellber. He has played in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Tonhalle Zürich, Elbphilharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, Herkulessaal and Prinzregententheater in Munich, Palau de la Música in Barcelona, Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Pierre BoulezGrande Salle at Philharmonie and Seine Musicale in Paris, DR Koncerthuset in Copenhagen and Musikverein in Wien. many recordings, both recital and with orchestra, including both Chopin's Piano Concertos conducted by Krzysztof Penderecki. His recording Minimalist and the first volume of the complete cycle of Chopin's works were released in the 2024/2025 season. In 2026, the second volume dedicated to Chopin was released, as well as an album dedicated to Szymanowski, recorded in cooperation with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and Marin Alsop. In June 2026, Szymon was awarded the Sir Jeffrey Tate Prize by Symphoniker Hamburg — a distinction awarded every two years to exceptionally talented young musicians. The 2026/2027 season includes important performances with the Symphoniker Hamburg, including Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, as well as Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Orchestre Pasdeloup in the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez' at the Philharmonie de Paris.
