When the sun sets... a new world awakens! In the explosive world of illegal road races in Los Angeles, whoever drives the fastest car gets the most beautiful women and the greatest respect! For Dominic (Vin Diesel - “Riddick - Chronicles of a Warrior”), only three things in life are important: his highly tuned car, his car and his sister Mia. At a race, he meets Brian (Paul Walker - “The Skulls”), a newcomer to the scene who challenges champion Dominic with his pimped up Mitsubishi. When the police suddenly show up and Dominic is in trouble, it is Brian of all people who helps him out. Dominic picks Brian up in his gang and the two become friends little by little. What Dominic doesn't know: Brian is an undercover cop who is supposed to solve a series of spectacular truck robberies. The loot is always extremely valuable cargo and the type of robbery is always the same: The trucks are boarded and abducted at full speed. They can only be attributed to extremely good drivers. What began as a simple assignment soon becomes more than just police work for Brian: He falls in love with Mia of all people and is becoming more and more involved in the scene. But some gang members sense in him not only a competitor, but also the bull - especially when internal information about the gang is leaking out. In the final showdown, Brian must choose between his sense of duty as a cop and his friendship with Dominic. Who will his loyalty belong to?
