25.11./ Poetic and musical program “Osiecka and Grechuta — poetry in poems and songs of the Poetic Group “Ars Poetica”

We cordially invite you to the program prepared by the Poetic Group “Ars Poetica”, operating as part of the Artistic Salon for Seniors in the House of Culture “13 Muz”. On Friday 9 October this year the 90th anniversary of the birth of Agnieszka Osiecka passed and the 20th anniversary of Marek Grechuta's death passed on the same day. On this occasion, to celebrate the memory of these wonderful artists, we have prepared for you this special evening.
In the program we will hear spoken and sung texts selected from the rich works of Agnieszka Osiecka and Marek Grechuta performed by members of the Poetic Group “Ars Poetica” from the Art Salon for Seniors.
Agnieszka Osiecka — Polish poet, writer, theater and television director, journalist, author of more than two thousand song lyrics, skits and stage works. An icon of Polish culture of the 20th century. For her work she has been awarded many times. She left behind a treasure that we reach to understand the world and ourselves, and for that we will always be grateful to her.
Marek Grechuta — poet, singer, musician, composer, painter, architect. Recognized as one of the most important representatives of Polish sung poetry. He created songs that went to both the elite and a wide range of listeners. His concerts were attended by people looking for a moment of reflection, reflection, good poetry framed by music appropriate to these poems.
The Poetic Group “Ars Poetica” is part of the Art Salon for Seniors, which has been operating for 10 years in the House of Culture “13 Muz”. This is a group of seniors who for many years have been preparing and presenting on the stage of the “13 Muz” Cultural Center productions based both on their own work and on the works of famous classics of literature and poetry. The group already has about twenty presented poetic-musical programs. In 2024, a publication entitled “Połunczyła nas poesia” was published, containing a collection of poems by the members of the group.

Art Salon for Seniors of the House of Culture “13 Muz”
The Senior Artistic Salon (SAS) is made up of people associated with the Szczecin community of amateur artists, seniors, who devote their free time to creative activity for themselves and for the general public. It is a group of very socially and artistically active seniors, which has been operating for eight years under the aegis of the “13 Muz” Cultural Center established by Janusz Janiszewski, cultural animator, initiator of many interesting events and artistic projects in the region.
