35 - SUMMER CHORUS CHORUS

We cordially invite you to the JUBILEE CONCERT!

Mixed Choir AKORD from Żywiec celebrates its 35th anniversary! On this occasion, we invite you to an extraordinary jubilee concert, which will take place on October 24, 2026 at 17:00 at the Municipal Cultural Center in Żywiec.

The choir was founded in 1991 at the request of Maestro Tadeusz Tębacz. For 35 years he has continuously represented Żywiec outside the city limits, developing his artistic activity and taking on new musical challenges.

In the last three years, the band has won places in recognized international and national competitions. In his history he has also performed with Organek, made recordings for TVP and appeared on the stage of the prestigious Cavatina Hall in Bielsko-Biała.

However, the jubilee concert will be more than just a musical summary. This is an opportunity to look behind the scenes of the 35-year history of the CHORD - to recall the times of its greatest popularity, to tell about the mysterious “curse” that runs through the history of the band, and also to show what is happening in the choir today.

Under the slogan “new sounds in a 35-year tradition” we will meet with history, memories and the contemporary face of the Accord.

On stage will perform: Mixed Chorus Chorus “Villa Scriptoris” Choir from Pisarzowice Beskid SoundProject invited guests

Conductor: Sebastian Niemczycki

24.10.2026 at 17:00 Municipal Cultural Centre in Żywiec.

The honorary patronage of the concert was taken by Antoni Szlagor, Mayor of the City of Żywiec.

Media patronage: Żywiec Info

What is behind the “curse” of the CHORD? How has the choir and its sound changed for 35 years? And what will surprise the audience this time? It will be possible to find out during the jubilee evening.

We cordially invite you!
