36th Media Festival “Man in Danger”

The Media Festival “Man in Danger” consists of films, reports, meetings.

Together with filmmakers, reporters, journalists, specialists from various fields, we try to diagnose the threats facing modern man and analyze how documentary films and media tell about them.

The films and reports presented at the Festival touch on the complexity of problems arising from coexistence. Through content and form, they provoke discussion and reflection, fight against stereotypes, with zero-one evaluation, stimulate to open up to the other person. We try to realize that the multiculturalism and diversity of the world is a living tissue in which nothing is defined once and for all, but is constantly transformed and changed, creating new dependencies and contexts. We want to try to achieve genuine understanding and understanding, to try to break down prejudice, ignorance or mere indifference. By getting to know the other person, whom we too often and too easily define as “the Other,” we get to know ourselves. Contacts with the “Other” can affect the revaluation of our own image.

36th Media Festival “Man in Danger” will take place on 14-18.10.2026 in Łódź.
