The second evening of the 40th Silesian Jazz Meeting belongs to Kinga Głyk — one of the most expressive figures of young Polish jazz.
There will be jazz, improvisation, funk and modern electronics, but above all there will be bass that comes to the fore.
Kinga Głyk is a bassist and composer who has been developing her own musical language for years, combining jazz improvisation with modern groove. She has released five albums: “Registration”, “Happy Birthday”, “Dream”, “Feelings” and “Real Life”.
Her music reaches far beyond Poland. The artist has performed on European stages, during the North Sea Jazz Festival, in Brazil, among others at Blue Note Rio, as well as in Japan.
Her recordings published on the Internet also brought her great popularity. Her arrangement “Tears in Heaven” has garnered tens of millions of views, and the track “Joy Joy” has become one of the artist's most recognizable recordings.
The album “Real Life” was created with the participation of outstanding musicians of the international scene, and its co-producer was Michael League - founder and leader of the band Snarky Puppy.
In 2026, Kinga Głyk presents the next stage of his musical journey. Her concerts combine classical jazz improvisation with electronics and contemporary sound, and well-known songs gain new versions and new life.
This is a proposal for both jazz lovers and those who are looking for groove, energy and great sound in music.
