The first evening of the 40th Silesian Jazz Meeting is two completely different musical worlds.
CLAW
Funk, soul, fusion, psychedelia, electronics, indie and jazz — KLAWO doesn't care about musical boundaries.
The Gdańsk band was formed in 2020 and in a short time became one of the most interesting bands on the Polish scene. He has over 100 concerts in 15 countries and has performed at the most important festivals and stages, including the Montreux Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London, Eurosonic, Fusion Festival, Open'er, OFF Festival, Męskie Granie and Tauron Nowa Muzyka.
Their music is based on strong melodies, funk rhythm, electronics, wind instrument sound and characteristic groove. It is jazz open to other genres and above all focused on the energy of the concert.
In May 2026, the album “Live at Montreux” was released, recorded during the band's performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival 2025.
If you associate jazz exclusively with what is known from classical clubs and festivals — KLAWO can be a very good start to a new acquaintance with this genre.

Myrczek & Schmidt Quintet — “Młynarski. Not at all”
After the musical entrance with KLAWO, it will be time to meet the work of one of the most important authors of the Polish song.
Wojciech Myrczek and Piotr Schmidt together with the team present the program “Młynarski. Not at all”, in which Wojciech Młynarski's lyrics meet jazz improvisation and new arrangements.
The arrangements were handled by Krzysztof Herdzin, who drew on works by composers associated with Młynarski's work — including Jerzy Derfl, Janusz Sent, Włodzimierz Nahorny and Jerzy Wasowski.
The program included both well-known songs such as “Not at all”, “The Moon over the Church” or “I am approached by free numbers”, as well as less obvious songs.
On stage next to Wojciech Myrczek - voc. and Piotr Schmidt - tp, will perform: Krzysztof Herdzin — piano, arrangements Sebastian Frankiewicz — drums Andrzej Święs — double bass
This is a concert for those who have known Młynarski for years, but also for those who want to hear his lyrics and songs in a completely new musical approach.
One evening. Two teams. Two different perspectives on jazz.
