The very popular performance of the Kamil Maćkowiak Theatre in Łódź is now a guest on the Polonia Theatre!
We meet Lena and Adam after 10 years of marriage, on the first evening they spend without their nine-year-old son. He is counting on great sex, she — that she will finally catch up on work and relax with a glass of wine. A cliche? None of these things. 50 WORDS is a profound study of human relationships that demythologizes the image of the romantic relationship of two people, at the same time conveys in a touching way the truth of love, which includes almost everything: closeness, hatred, fatigue, rejection, mindfulness, fidelity, desire, selfishness, routine, cry for tenderness and especially disappointment yourself and your partner. One word is not enough to describe what is happening between the people closest to each other, overwhelmed by unspeakable loneliness.
It is a story about love as it is: fragile, imperfect, full of hope and need, like the two people who make it. It turns out to be a great excuse to think about what experiencing closeness says about ourselves.
“Maria Seweryn and Kamil Maćkowiak are fantastic, they created wonderful roles of two de facto sensitive people whose lives are falling apart, somewhere bursting at the seams, who are deeply disappointed in each other, unable to live with each other anymore, but also — unable to live without each other. I love that kind of theater. “- wrote the critic Rafał Turowski.
