Gabrielle devotes herself heart and soul to her profession. A surgeon and department head at a public hospital, she is constantly on the run, juggling a multitude of responsibilities. She has little time left for her private life—a loving and open-minded husband and a mother who needs her care. Her equilibrium is shaken when a novelist spends a few weeks in her department to research a book she is writing… Léa Drucker (Case 137, Custody), the two-time César winner, seals her reputation as one of France’s best working actors with a superb performance in this portrait of high-powered, middle-aged femininity in this finely textured character study by director Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet (Anaïs in Love).
