Four films, four different roles and more than three decades of meetings with Andrzej Wajda. Maja Komorowska will take us for a walk in the footsteps of the director after the permanent exhibition ECS.
The walk takes place during the All About Freedom Festival.
She played for the first time with Wajda in “Wesel” in 1972, the last time — more than three decades later, in “Katyn”. In the meantime, there was Jola in “Virgins of the Wolf” and Kłos's mother in “Judgment on Franciszek Kłos”. Each of these films touches on a different part of Polish history, but for Komorowska it is not a story known exclusively from books or a film set.
Maja Komorowska actively participated in many events and generational experiences, which the ECS permanent exhibition tells about. During the martial law, she worked in the Primate's Social Council and the Committee for Assistance to Internees and Their Families, later she worked with Jacek Kuroni in SOS. Thus, she looks at the story simultaneously from the perspective of an actress, who for decades played heroines of Polish cinema, and a person involved in the affairs of her time.
During the walk realized on the occasion of the Year, Andrzej Wajda Komorowska will talk about her work with the director, about his films and about the people she met on her way. The exhibition will be a starting point for memories of Poland, of which she was not only an observer, but also a participant.
