Graduate subtitles/Good Film Club

We only play on October 25th. Screening + discussion as part of the Good Film Club.

After the holidays, we return with new film proposals, cinema classics and conversations after the screenings. This time we propose a classic work of the new Hollywood, an Oscar, Golden Globe, Bafta and Grammy award-winning film The Graduate.

Benjamin Braddock just graduated from college. In theory, he should have a plan for the future and enthusiastically enter adulthood. The problem is that he has no idea what to do next. Lost in the world of parental expectations and good advice, he tries to find his own way. In addition, things get complicated when Benjamin gets into an affair with Mrs. Robinson, a friend of his parents, and then meets her daughter, Elaine.

Mike Nichols' brilliant, funny and surprisingly timely film has become one of the symbols of youthful rebellion and the beginning of a new era in American cinema. Featuring the unforgettable role of Dustin Hoffman and iconic Simon & Garfunkel music, “The Graduate” reaches out to successive generations of viewers seeking answers to the same questions about adulthood, love and life choices. Although “The Graduate” was created in 1967, it is difficult to resist the impression that Benjamin could be the hero of modern times.
