About the event

Silent Green presents

Two bands that we can hardly believe have remained under Berlin's radar so far. Prepare yourself for an intense musical experience with a high degree of originality, invited by Acephalic Headspace: Black metal meets minimal music; rhythms, repetitions and circular movements of objects, bodies and voices are transformed into an unstable ritual.

Lésions Graves Lésions Graves are rooted in black metal and have developed a style that combines hypnotic repetition patterns borrowed from minimal music with the intensity of rock.

As a sextet, Lésions Graves will perform their latest project: a composition by Julius Eastman, rearranged for four electric guitars, electric bass and drums. The music follows Eastman's “organic principle” and unfolds through the gradual transformation of recurring musical elements. The sketchy score leaves plenty of room for interpretation and creates an intensive, open experience for musicians and audiences alike.

Julius Eastman (1940—1990) was an African-American composer who combined minimalism with political provocation and challenged the conventions of white classical music. His works addressed racism and homophobia and combined minimalism with free jazz, gospel and no wave.

ladr ache ladr ache, a six-person collective from Brussels (Belgium), combines polyphonic singing with hypnotic rhythms and is a unique, hidden gem on the border of experimental music. Her music is immersed in raw punk energy: powerful drum rhythms meet whirling drones, mechanical pulses, amplified objects and serial songs.

Live, they create a limitless soundscape in which the intimate merges with the collective, machines seem to start breathing and silence is given just as much weight as exuberant sound textures. Gradually, an unstable ritual emerges: fragile, physical, haunting and deeply animated.

At the beginning of the evening, the video loop “Flicker Holes” by Tim Tetzner will be projected into the dome above the audience's heads.
