Adam Green is co-founder of the short-lived style-forming anti-folk band “The Moldy Peaches” (with Kimya Dawson), whose only album was released on Rough Trade in 2001. Since 2002, he has released eleven solo albums, including the legendary “Friends Of Mine”, which just celebrated its 20th anniversary, the soundtrack for the Paul Auster stage play “Timbuktu”, and a duo album with Binki Shapiro. He is also active as a visual artist; his paintings and sculptures have been the subject of exhibitions in America, Asia and Europe, including in 2016 at the Fondation Beyeler in Basel, Switzerland.
He was the author and director of the first feature film shot entirely with an iPhone, “The Wrong Ferarri” (2010). In recent years, Green has written a number of graphic novels and other books, including the poetry book “Magazine”, which was translated by Thomas Meinecke and published by Suhrkamp.
