NO PLACES | After the success of the first installment of the project, which in 2023 also sounded on the stage of the Kashubian Philharmonic, the Vocal Studio of the University of Gdańsk returns with a new, extended version of a concert dedicated to Adele's work.
“Adele Songbook 2.0” is a jubilee project prepared on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the UG Vocal Studio. The concert presents the greatest hits of one of the most important artists of contemporary popular music in the original arrangements of Krzysztof Majda, prepared especially for the vocal ensemble, extensive instrumental composition and string section.
The new version of the project is not only a refreshed repertoire, but also a completely new sound. String parties appear in all tracks, giving the concert a special elegance and cinematic momentum. The program will not lack both Adele's greatest hits and less obvious compositions that allow you to discover her work from a new perspective.
Over the past five years, Studio Vocalne UG has become one of the most recognizable artistic formations associated with the University of Gdańsk. The ensemble has performed at the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, European Solidarity Centre, Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre, St John's Centre, Stary Manezh and numerous cultural events throughout Poland.
The concert combines the energy of young female singers, the experience of excellent session musicians and the charismatic presence of Krzysztof Majda — the artistic director of the project, who also acts as a vocalist and host during the concert.
“Adele Songbook 2.0” is an evening full of emotion, emotion and well-known melodies, which proves that Adele's work invariably moves audiences regardless of age.
