The Włodzimierz Gniazdowski Impresarial Theatre in Włocławek invites you to the stage realization of “The Unknown Addressee” — Katherine Kressman Taylor's 1938 debut book, adapted by Wojciech Pszoniak.

In the role of Eisenstein — an American Jew living in San Francisco and German Martin Schulze — friends and accomplices, we will see outstanding actors: Olgierd Łukaszewicz and Robert Więckiewicz, who in moving and masterful interpretations make the play sound with enormous force. The action takes place between 1932 and 1934, in the shadow of the growing strength of the Third Reich. Two friends and business associates — Max, an American Jew, and Martin, a German — run an art gallery in San Francisco together. The letters exchanged become a harrowing record of how fascist ideology poisons the mind of one of them, leading to inevitable tragedy and turning former friends into mortal enemies.
