AFROB & FERRIS MC
Old school meets today: The rhyming monsters are back
Comeback of German hip hop history
Over two decades ago, Afrob and Ferris MC created “Rhyme Monsters.” A song that quickly became one of the most influential works in German hip-hop history. The contrasts of their personalities and styles found a common language in this song and the distinctive Hook became the collective reputation of an entire generation. Without knowing what influence they would trigger, the two rappers created a track that is still considered a symbol of the golden era of German rap today. Now Afrob and Ferris are continuing their shared story and bringing the song live on stage again as part of a comprehensive hip-hop show. Her new album combines experience, artistic maturity and her love of craftsmanship. With Afrob x Ferris MC, a project is being created that combines past and present. Two charismatic rappers who have co-written German hip-hop history deliver a work that combines old-school roots with timeless relevance — authentic, energetic and groundbreaking.
