Discover the extraordinary life, characters and plot-twists of the bestselling novelist of all time, Agatha Christie.
Across the UK, we’ll be celebrating the Queen of Crime with special events in local libraries – from talks with leading crime authors to theatre performances, creative writing and storytelling workshops and an interactive murder mystery quiz. We’ll update this page as events are announced, so make sure to check back soon.
Alongside a major exhibition at the British Library, free panel displays and events exploring the Queen of Crime will be travelling to partner libraries across the UK from October 2026, as part of our Living Knowledge Network.
From her best-loved characters, including Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, to her impact on contemporary crime authors, uncover the secrets of Christie’s enduring appeal at your local library.
Inspired by the British Library exhibition, Agatha Christie: A World of Mystery, libraries will complement these displays with objects and stories from their own collections, along with pop-up events exploring our undying fascination with crime, murder and mystery.
In collaboration with Agatha Christie Limited and The Christie Archive Trust.
