Agnieszka Szubert | Author's meeting

On 12 October at 6 p.m., the guest of PROmediów will be the Szczecin writer Agnieszka Szubert. We will talk about her two novels this year “Don't Save Me” and “Reckoning”.

Agnieszka Szubert — sociologist and coach, associated with Szczecin for years. Author of crime novels in which she focuses on the dark sides of human nature. She writes about difficult choices, weaknesses and consequences of decisions from which there is no turning back, because in her books crime is never the work of chance. Every day he divides his time between Poland and Greece, where silence and sun favor creative work, and cicadas set the rhythm of the day. This is where stories are created in which tension and unpredictability are as important as the plot itself.

She made her debut in 2024 with the book “New Life”. Later, her novels were published: “You're Guilty Too” (2024), “The Falcon and the Fall” (2025), “Sweet Murder” (2025), “Don't Save Me” (2026) and “Settlement” (2026).

DO NOT SAVE ME Natalia Adamchuk experienced a huge tragedy - she lost her only child during the holidays. Three-year-old Winnie was kidnapped from a beach in Ustroń Morskie in broad daylight, and his body was found only two months later.

Five years pass. Natalia meets Boris Keller - a former policeman with a difficult past. Boris is currently an academic lecturer and it seems that he has left the past behind and is rearranging his life. However, everything changes when Natalia unexpectedly disappears one evening. Looking for her, Boris will discover the secrets she kept from him. Information will also come to light that Winnie was not the only child who went missing in the Maritime Strands

Don't save me this addictive crime story. The plot twists, the hidden truth and the difficult past of the heroes will make you unable to tear yourself away from it, and the Sea Strongholds will never be the same for you again.

SETTLEMENT In a quiet residential area of Szczecin, the corpses of an elderly married couple — Grzegorz and Halina Zdybowski are found. Initially, everything points to an extended suicide, but the first findings of the police quickly rule out this hypothesis. Aspirant Agata Stolarz discovers that the bullets in the victims' bodies come from the same weapon with which a married couple and their twelve-year-old son were shot twenty-three years earlier. The perpetrator of the crime was never found.

What links Julia Domańska to both cases? Does a woman have something to hide? Will Agatha be able to determine the motive for both murders? Who are Fox, Tailor and Driver and why is their past so important?

Some crimes do not end at the moment of death. Only then do they begin to live in others.
