The film's narrative depicts the process that led to the signing of the Treaty of Versailles by Roman Dmowski and Ignacy Paderewski and the regaining of Independence by the Rzeczpospolita. For the production of the film, film photos with the participation of actors were used, made by a production team under the direction of Krzysztof Nowak and directed by Jacek Januszyk [10 scenes assembled in 70 minutes of photos of acting productions in locations from the era with the participation of about 30 actors and extras and three camera operators]. The guide to history in the film is Prof. Grzegorz Kucharczyk, author of a monograph dedicated to the Versailles Congress, a synthesis of the History of Poland or a textbook for the study of history. He narrates the events taking place at the Congress and the actions of Roman Dmowski, the main individual protagonist of this film, which led to the regaining of independence and the reconstruction of the state.
