Senior Brain Academy

We cordially invite you to the Senior Brain Academy.

Classes are conducted using the tablets provided by the library. During the meeting, participants will learn about a digital application (Neuronation), which provides daily brain training in four areas: memory, attention, reaction speed and reasoning. The first stage of classes for new people is a mental fitness test. Based on the results and individual preferences, the application adjusts the daily training, which can be done on a tablet and smartphone (English, German, French, Russian) or on a computer (English, German, French, Russian).

The application was chosen by the host among many others based on the availability of the Polish version, adaptation to the needs of seniors and competitive price in the case of a paid service. The free version contains ads, has limited access to some of the training modules, but allows you to use the application. Interested persons will be able to obtain information on how to safely purchase the paid version (8-17 PLN/month). Neither the host nor the Municipal Public Libraries profit from this or any other application.

NOTE: If library tablets are not available, participants may use their own equipment during class. The application in the mobile version (for smartphones and tablets, including for iPhones and iPads) has a version in Polish. You need to download and install it from Google Play or Apple Store, then create and activate an account with your email address. You will receive an email with an activation link from Neuronation.

In case of problems installing the application yourself, please report to the cycle coordinator for assistance (at least one day before class). The laptop version does not require installation, as it is available in a web browser. However, it does not have a Polish version. It can be used in English, German, French and Russian.

The meeting will be led by Aneta Krejczy, MSc, a teacher, coach and therapist of people on the autism spectrum and currently a fifth-year psychology student. Interested in geragogics and psychogerontology (pedagogy and psychology of the elderly) and neuropsychology.
