As fate would have it, two Donuts lived in one tenement house - Hippolytus, the owner of the tenement house and a lover of classical music, and Henryk, a radio announcer and amateur of entertainment music. Both have concerts in their apartments, very often at the same time. The beautiful niece Hippolyta goes one floor higher to Henry's apartment. The young people have fallen in love and, against everything and everyone, decide to bond with each other for life. They also lead to agreement between the conflicting parties. Hipolit and Henryk perform on the radio playing a piece, which is a jazz version of Dvorak's “Humoreski”.
