Two friends Nisson and Sender vow to marry their unborn children. Nisson dies prematurely, leaving his son Chonen; rich Sender has a daughter Lea, but he does not want to remember to vow, although the young love each other. He wants to marry her richly. Desperate, Chonen attempts to create gold ore by magic, summons Satan; he dies when struck by lightning. Dybuk, or the soul of the deceased, ascends to Lea on the day of her wedding. Tadyk manages to drive him out, but Lea, however, dies, merging with her beloved.

The Way of the Young (Mir Kumen On) (65')

Mir Kumen On (Polish title: The Way of the Young) is an example of the early work of Alexander Ford. The film presents the daily life of children in the Vladimir Medem Sanatorium in the summer village of Miedzeszyn near Warsaw. In this center, opened in 1926 by the Jewish Workers' Bund in Poland, children and young people from poor families were cared for, restoring their health and hope. The institution was considered a model and innovative educational institution. On August 22, 1942, by order of the German occupation authorities, the children and guardians staying in the sanatorium were taken to Treblinka, where they were all murdered.
