Final Stage (104')
An epic story about the life and struggle of heroic women of different nationalities, prisoners of Auschwitz-Birkenau. The film has a loose structure, the action includes several parallel plots. Marta is a Polish Jewish woman, translator, was active in the camp resistance movement; she dies while trying to escape. A Russian prisoner — doctor Eugenia, trying to really save the sick, is tortured and executed. German communist Anna ends up in a camp bunker.
The tragic fate of female prisoners, the savagery and sadism of the German camp crew — this synthetic picture of Auschwitz reality was conveyed by the former Oświęcim prisoner — Wanda Jakubowska.
The first Polish film, which entered the screens in more than fifty countries and which the world press recognized as a work of great format. One of the most shocking films about the Second World War. Realized in the authentic setting of the camp.

Majdanek — cemetery of Europe (24')
The documentary captures live the moments immediately after the liberation of the Majdanek concentration camp in July 1944. Ford's crew recorded excerpts of the dramatic accounts of the released prisoners. However, the most important narrative trick, which created an atmosphere of authentic horror, was the juxtaposition of the camp executioners, who stood before the court, with the image of the death of thousands of their victims, after which only the ashes and the memory of their loved ones remained.
