ACADEMY OF THE FAIRIES MELODI - Musical styles

The fairy Melodi is the guardian of music and the guardian of musical works. He runs the Academy, where he teaches about the world of fairies and about music. In the first classes at the Melodi Fairy Academy, you will learn where fairies live, what they do, but above all you will find out what happens when chaos comes to music and musical styles.

The story begins when unruly children leave a terrible mess after playing in the studio of the Fairy Melodi. It turns out that the melodies and especially the musical styles have completely mixed up. Can you help Fairy Melodi clean up all this gibberish?

The concert is a great educational proposal prepared by the artists of the Grand Theatre in Łódź for beginner music lovers.

We present musical styles by changing well-known and beloved pieces of music from classical and entertainment literature. The song “I have this power” from the fairy tale Land of Ice, becomes an Italian opera aria, the finale of the overture to the opera Wilhelm Tell by Gioacchino Rossini becomes a jazz song, and the lullaby “Ah, sleep Baby” by Henryk Wars and Ludwik Starski becomes a highlander song. In a light and accessible way for children, we transmit musical knowledge (dynamics, articulation, tempo). By the way, we teach respect for living beings and how important order is not only in the toy room but also in the world of nature and music.

The incredible value of the concert is also the instrumental ensemble consisting of violin, piano, double bass and drums, which gives you the opportunity to listen and see them live.
