Active reading

Active reading is an author's method of workshop work with a children's book, which involves interspersing reading with activities that trigger imagination and stimulate children's creativity. Varied tasks involving both small and large motor skills, as well as the participants' senses, help to identify with the protagonists of the books and to experience the stories described. The method prompts children to perceive reading as an interesting and enjoyable activity.

Author of the cycle:

Anna Pyzik — librarian, educator and cultural animator, instructor of the Scout Association of the Republic of Poland. Professionally associated with MOCAK, where she is responsible, among other things, for the educational offer aimed at children. Her research interests revolve around informal and alternative education, including forestry education. The series of workshops Active Reading by her has been implemented since 2016.
