We invite adult readers to an author's meeting with Aleksandra Karkowska, co-author of the book “Marsz marsz Batory”. The book contains the stories of 50 passengers of the legendary transatlantic who emigrated aboard it to the USA and Canada.
“We were enchanted by the ship M/S Batory. Legendary transatlantic. He sailed under the Polish flag for 33 years, made 222 regular ocean cruises, carrying more than 270 thousand passengers in them. For many of these people, it was a one-way trip... a journey to emigrate, a journey of a lifetime.”
The authors were able to talk to more than 50 passengers of the “Batory” and crew members living today in the United States, Canada or Poland. They shared with them their memories, impressions, secrets and photographs. Welcome on board!
After the meeting there will be an opportunity to purchase a book with the author's dedication.
Admission is free.
