Alexander Scheer | Andreas Dresen & Band

ALEXANDER SCHEER | ANDREAS DRESEN & BAND - Play (not only) Gundermann “TV off, shooting star on! ”

“GUNDERMANN”, directed by Andreas Dresen, became an art house hit and decorated with 6 LOLAs, the German Film Awards. A film that was consistently cheered by the media, deeply moving, with a soundtrack that gets under your skin. As the main actor, Alexander Scheer was awarded the Bavarian Film Awards and the LOLA. A busy singer and musician himself, he received the German Record Critics Prize for interpreting the songs in the feature film and thus, incidentally, climbed to a place in the top 20 of the German album charts.

Scheer, who already fascinated as Keith Richards in the feature film “The Wild Life” and impressed as David Bowie at Schauspielhaus Hamburg, absorbs himself deeply into the cosmos and songs by Gerhard Gundermann. He explores them, develops an almost magical intensity “with everything he has” and returns it concentrated.

A band was founded specifically for the film premiere, not realizing that it would result in a band project, which is now a concert highlight and festival event with a rapidly growing audience throughout Germany. The first live album “Immer wieder Nie Enough” is now among the people who testify to never standing still, but developing enough material to expand the repertoire in an exhilarating way. You can (also) dance!
