As part of her Barbican Residency, pianist Alice Sara Ott makes her first appearance with Academy of St Martin in the Fields, performing one of her signature works alongside a programme of music from distinct composers that intertwine in a harmonious mosaic of sounds.
The celebrated pianist, known for her imaginative approach, brings fresh insight to Ravel’s sparkling Piano Concerto in G major. On either side, Academy of St Martin in the Fields opens the concert with Stravinsky's eclectic Dumbarton Oaks and continues the second half with Ravel's wistful Tombeau de Couperin and Mozart's fiery Symphony No 35.
Produced by the Barbican.
Part of Artist in Residence: Alice Sara Ott.
