In a series of recurring live events, ALICE TUNES IN opens the doors to new and experimental musical projects and ideas. The concert format transforms ALICE's familiar stage into an exploratory venue for both new and experienced artists. With burgeoning new sounds and voices, audiences are invited to four short and intimate sets that grow together into an evening of curiosity, community and new artistic experiments in focus.
ALICE TUNES IN is run and curated in collaboration with a dedicated volunteer group from ALICE's existing environment. We look forward to presenting the fourth night of the concert series with experimental and evocative sound universes. The last ALICE TUNES IN evening of the year takes us through a wide range of moods and genres. We begin with Turnovermoth's dreamy ambient landscapes, followed by Mylder's understated alternative folk and Antonia Dix's sensitive, guitar-based indie. The evening culminates with the Libertiners' raw sound, where an experimental mix of no wave and freejazz promises a powerful and liberating ending.
Attention: The concert is free, but tickets are required
Turnover Moth (GB/NO)
With a musical background in ambient and short film music, the Turnovermoth project explores how compositions and soundscapes inspired by magical realism create spaces that feel both real and displaced from the familiar, in which the audience can mirror their inner lives. Live reinterpretations of their own compositions are performed, where cello is intertwined with synthesizers. The concert will be a special opportunity to experience a floating and personal sound universe.
Mylder (GB)
Singer-songwriter Mylder moves between alternative folk, shoegaze, dream pop and the understated intensity of the slowcore vocals. Mylder unites the organic and the soaring with a special fervor. The lyrics take the form of poetic reflections on mental health, the body, the love of nature and queer themes. With a pervasive quest for redemption, the songs revolve around letting go of the expectations and conditions that characterize our encounter with ourselves and each other. Mylder has received recognition from the Danish music magazine GAFFA, which in 2024 nominated him in the categories Publication of the Year and New Name of the Year.
Antonia Dix (GB)
Antonia Dix creates alternative indie music where the lyrics and emotions are the driving force. With her guitar and playful vocals, she unites melancholy with an undercurrent of hope that revolves around heartbreak, redemption and new beginnings. Her music is intuitive and honest, often drawing inspiration from city life and the changing seasons. Live, she creates an intimate atmosphere where words and sound invite the audience into a shared emotional experience.
Libertines (DK)
The Libertines are an experimental band that moves freely between no wave, freejazz to monk song in a powerful and unpredictable expression. With drums, bass, guitar, violin and saxophone, they dig into the darkness and let the music take shape through heaviness, repetition and improvisation. The music unleashes forces and carries on a rawness that seems to contain some of the turmoil the world is full of. In a discharge between the violent and the meditative, a space arises in which an almost cathartic soundscape is allowed to fill.
