solo work” All that I left behind is here” Romuald Krężel draws from
of their own personal and artistic experiences, returning to their
first dance meeting — a course of ballroom dancing in primary school
in Wrocław, the only free form of dance classes available at the time.
Using choreographic tools, he focuses on different aspects
Classicism in the context of the creation and production of contemporary art
performative. Re-learning and critically analyzing movements, steps, poses
and styles such as cha-cha, rumba or jive, explores its own social origins
and its relationship with current dance practice.
Ghosts,
ghosts, post-punk music and distinctive aesthetics accompany the artist in
a performative return to the past, culminating in
emotional conversation with the mother about class, body, work, shame and dance. Creation
this solo performance is crowned with an over a year old research project on
(un) visibility of social classes in the performing arts (” Working Class
Body”). “Ghosts of advancement”, “ghosts of class” or questions about the costs of social advancement
here they become an axis of moving, artistic and full of personal references
shows.
