ALL THE COLORS OF GOD follow the Enghave Church in Copenhagen, locally known as the “Queer Church”. At its centre stand the priest Viggo, a gay man shaped by years of conflict between faith and identity, and the church servant Bo - better known in colourful garb as Ramona Macho. Together they fight for a church that is open to all. The church meets daily resistance from conservative voices and is both a sanctuary and a battleground. Through music, rituals and community, the film explores resilience, belonging, and the price of standing out visibly.
ALL THE COLORS OF GOD is a warm tale of a community for those who otherwise stand outside. Vesterbro embraces everyone with warmth and tranquility, regardless of gender identity, sexuality and life situation.
REVIEWERS WRITE//
“The calm that falls upon one when one, as an audience, is invited into the documentary All the Colours of God is reminiscent of that which one might be lucky to experience in a church room.”

“However, this does not diminish the importance of All the Colors of God, which opens up a wider discussion about a modern interpretation of the church, confronts the universal queer sense of shame, and is a tool for learning to love oneself.”

“All the Colors of God is a film about the right to be oneself. A picture of how, as LGBT+ people, we too often have to fight against intolerance and hatred in our everyday lives. And a testimony to the joy of creating an active and loving ecclesial community in which all are -indeed- welcome.”
