Welcome to a normal day, to a normal GP practice! The waiting room is bursting at the seams, the doctor's assistant is in the starting blocks and, as always, Mrs. Doctor comes to work very stressed. Dr. Annegret Kern is about to start her consultation when it's dripping from the ceiling. Water damage in the consultation room!

While medical assistant Natia fights the accident, Dr. Kern keeps her patients happy in the waiting room. She starts talking about her everyday work between consultation hours, emergency services, continuing education, pharmaceutical consultations and paperwork. As a result, cracks in the healthcare system are gradually becoming apparent and the life of Dr. Kern is also further away from that proverbial goddess in white than you would expect. Fortunately, she has the down-to-earth Natia by her side and even from the highest level, many a watchful eye is cast on her. In a general practitioner's practice, there are simply more things possible between heaven and earth than a health insurance statement would suggest.

In a furious triple role, Heike Feist transforms the theatre into a waiting room. With heart and keen eye, she addresses the relationship between doctor and patient, and the pharmaceutical industry and health insurance companies are also getting their fat off. And in the course of this exciting and informative evening at the theatre, a doctor, as we think we know her in many clichés, becomes a doctor that we would all like to have.
