The Dutch quintet Altin Gün from Amsterdam are the leading exponents of the psychedelic renaissance, inspired by the Turkish tradition of 21st century sounds. Since their debut in 2018 with the album “On”, the band has consistently combined 1970s Anatolian psych-funk with modern elements such as synthesizers and drum machines. Their latest, fifth album, titled “Garip”, is a heartfelt and nuanced tribute to the legendary Turkish bard, Neşet Ertaş. The band's founders, including Erdinç Eçevit and Jasper Verhulst, return to their folk roots here, offering listeners a mature, multi-dimensional publishing. The new material combines traditional melodies with rich string arrangements and French-Italian inspirations and a relaxed Californian hippie-rock vibe, proving the musical versatility of the formation.

Amsterdam-based Dutch psychedelic quintet Altin Day has been at the vanguard of the 21st-century revival of Turkish-influenced grooves since their 2018 debut album, “On”. Masterfully blending Anatolian 70s psych-funk with modern synths and drum machines, the band constantly evolves while maintaining a deep, underlying connection to Turkish folk traditions. Their fifth and most eclectic album to date, “Garip”, serves as a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Turkish folk-bard Neşet Ertaş, featuring nuanced interpretations of his classic songs. Driven by founders such as Erdinç Eçevit and Jasper Verhulst, the new record steps away from obvious psych-rock into a more mature, vibrating territory, incorporating everything from lush string arrangements with French-Italian influences to laid-back Californian hippie-rock vibes
