Amadeus Live

On January 6, 2027, residents and guests visiting Krakow will have a unique opportunity to spend an evening in the company of the greatest musical genius of all time — Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In the unusual setting of TAURON Arena Kraków, performed by the Beethoven Academy Orchestra accompanied by the Polish Radio Choir — Lusławice, under the baton of the outstanding Dutch conductor Ernst van Tiel, the film superproduction “Amadeus Live” will be presented — a monumental show combining cinema and live music.

Already now it is possible to plan a trip to 18th century Vienna together with the unleavened genius Mozart and envious of his talent Salieri.

“Amadeus” directed by Miloš Forman is a film-opera, an impressive celestial celebration of the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The timeless tale of the clash of two composers: a joyful, vulgar genius (Tom Hulce as Mozart) and a haughty, untalented jealous (F. Murray Abraham as Salieri) was honored with the Oscars for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Screenplay, Set Design, Costumes, Characterization and Sound. Thus, Amadeus became one of the most acclaimed films of the 20th century and cemented Forman's status as one of the most prominent European and Hollywood directors.

The evening itself is a tribute to the famous work, which will seduce not only music lovers and lovers of serious music, but also all viewers who love cinema and want to participate in a unique celebration of the image appearing in the lists of films of all time. Krakow will thus join the elite group of cities (such as London, Tokyo, Toronto, Seoul, Paris) where this show is shown.

TAURON Arena Kraków is a co-organizer of the event, together with the TIMELESS FILM FOUNDATION.
